Data deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and any personal data we hold on you, including anything we received from Facebook if you linked your Facebook account.
How to request deletion
- Email privacy@fbdealersupply.com from the email address tied to your account.
- Subject line:
Data deletion request. - Confirm you want your account closed and your data removed.
We'll confirm receipt within 1 business day and complete the deletion within 30 days. If you have an in-flight auction or accepted deal, we'll let you know — once the deal closes the data will be deleted on the same 30-day clock.
What we delete
- Your account profile (name, email, phone, role).
- Seller records (full name, Facebook profile URL, listings, photos, reserve prices).
- Dealer records (business name, license number, license document, ZIP, service radius).
- Bids you placed and messages you sent.
- Any data we received from Facebook through the “Link Facebook” flow: name, email, profile picture URL, and the app-scoped Facebook ID.
What we keep (and why)
- Anonymized transaction records — we retain audit trails of completed auctions for fraud prevention and legal/tax purposes (US dealer recordkeeping laws). These records are stripped of personal identifiers but reference the transaction amount and date.
- Server log entries older than 30 days may persist in backups for up to 90 days, after which the rolling backup window deletes them.
Removing the Facebook link only
If you only want to disconnect your Facebook account but keep your fbdealersupply account, you can do that yourself in the seller dashboard under Settings → Connected accounts → Unlink Facebook, or you can revoke our access from your Facebook account at facebook.com/settings → Apps and Websites. When you revoke from Meta's side, Meta sends us a deletion callback and we remove the Facebook-sourced fields automatically.
